Technology in the Classroom
Week 1

1.  Population by city.  In seventh-grade social studies, we compare city populations and how this is impacted by industry.  Students will post a chart (spreadsheet) in their blog indicating the population of each city and how industries (businesses) have impacted these population.

2.  Industry videos.  Students will post a video on their blog about the industries that have experienced growth in the major cities of Texas.  For example, Houston has experienced growth in its population and economy due to the oil industry. Students will post videos about Houston's oil industry over the last fifty years.
